The Google ‘Quality Update’

Posted on Friday, May 22nd, 2015

Google has now confirmed their update influences how it assesses content quality.

Many webmasters earlier this month noticed significant Google ranking changes. Dubbed ‘Phantom 2’, the new Google update includes changes to the core ranking algorithm, in terms of how it processes quality signals. We don’t know exactly what has changed in the way it is processed, as Google have not provided any specifics, as of yet, on how quality is now assessed.

So, if you have witnessed ranking changes earlier this month, you are amongst the many!  To help minimise the impact this update can have on your website, make sure your site is user centric. It is important you focus on building and maintaining a great user experience, that is bursting with quality content.
