What the role involves

As a Business Development Executive, your prime responsibility will be to source prospective customers, nurture and close opportunities across key sectors. More specifically, you will seek out, identify and establish relationships with those leads who are looking to grow their digital offering through thought leadership and offering genuine insight and value.


  • Sales prospecting – market research and targeting through telesales and email campaigns
  • Identify potential sales contacts via LinkedIn and other networking
  • Attending sales conferences and trade events to generate leads
  • Client communication – knowing your business
  • Reporting
  • Pitching (after training)
  • Creating tailored and personalised commercial presentations
  • To exceed set sales targets
  • To exceed minimum call KPIs
  • To administer activity logs.
  • To generate new business through both lapsed and new client databases
  • To support and contribute to team decisions and strategies.
  • Following up online enquiries through the website and social media
  • Meeting with Directors to discuss sales strategy and results, making recommendations for improvement

Skills Required

  • Possess a minimum of a year’s sales experience, ideally selling digital solutions.
  • You will be a confident closer, driven, proactive and committed to joining a professional, collaborative and award winning company.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, a broad business understanding, high levels of self-motivation and the ability to captivate at all levels.
  • You will be able to report on a weekly basis any successes and issues faced to turn this around week on week
  • Strong written communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • You will be a highly energetic, enthusiastic and dynamic self-starter with excellent communication skills and a determination to succeed
  • You will need a confident and professional manner coupled with a creative approach to selling to make this role a success
  • You will need to demonstrate a maturity and motivation to be able to work on specific projects and consistently deliver results
  • Excellent time management skills
  • An outstanding attitude to go above and beyond to deliver for the customer
  • Own transport and driving licence is essential
